A New Policy PAC Endorses Brian Varela
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Washington, D.C. (May 8, 2026) — A New Policy PAC today announces its official endorsement of Brian Varela for Congress in New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District. This endorsement highlights the PAC’s commitment to supporting leaders who have the courage to challenge the status quo and demand a U.S. foreign policy that reflects American values of justice, equality, and the rule of law.
This is our best opportunity not only to flip the seat, but to elect a leader whose lived experience and unwavering values will challenge the status quo and deliver real, systemic change for all vulnerable communities. Brian Varela is exactly the person for this district and this moment,” said Tariq Habash, Co-Founder of A New Policy.
Taking His Fight For The People Of New Jersey To Congress
Brian Varela is a New Jersey small business owner, father, and the proud son of Colombian immigrants running to flip NJ-07. After working full-time to put himself through college on Pell Grants, Brian stepped up to support his family following his mother’s cancer diagnosis and later raised his younger brother while building his first business. Today, he owns 10 affordable childcare centers across New Jersey and has become a leading voice for working families. Brian is running to lower costs and fight for families who have been left behind, to make sure all Americans can access the American dream that was available to him.
“I’m grateful to A New Policy for their support. This organization understands that America’s politics need to serve the people, not the powerful, and that our elected officials need to actually fight for working people, take on corporate power, and ensure Congress is acting in America’s best interests. That is the kind of Democrat I am running to be, and that is the kind of leadership I will bring to Congress,” said Brian Varela.
Bridging the Gap Between Voters and their Leaders
A New Policy PAC’s endorsement of Brian Varela marks a step towards bridging the gap between voters and Capitol Hill. Polls show that most Americans support a balanced U.S. policy toward Palestine and Israel. American voters are clear: they don’t want to be complicit in human catastrophe and many oppose lethal weapon transfers. Yet, elected representatives continue to ignore this clear public consensus. A New Policy is harnessing the collective power of these Americans from all backgrounds and turning that demand for change into real political influence.
