A New Policy PAC Endorses William Lawrence

Washington, D.C. (June 18, 2026) — Today, A New Policy PAC announces its endorsement of William Lawrence for U.S. Congress in Michigan’s 7th Congressional District, one of the highest-profile swing races in the country. This endorsement highlights our commitment to supporting leaders who have the courage to challenge the status quo and demand a U.S. foreign policy that reflects American values of justice, equality, and the rule of law. Earlier this week when asked in a public forum, Will made it clear that he is the only candidate in the race who is willing to stop sending bombs to Israel, and the only one to acknowledge that what’s happening in Gaza is a genocide.

“Whether fighting for green jobs, or educating tenants on their rights, Will has always been a fighter. He knows we must fight to stop spending taxpayer dollars on bombs for Israel, and as a member of Congress, he will use his voice to ensure Israel is held accountable, and that our money is better spent reinvested to support the lives of people in Michigan and across the U.S.," said Tariq Habash.

Ready to Represent the Community He Grew Up In

William Lawrence is an organizer and coalition-builder raised and educated in East Lansing, where he resides today. He’s spent his career fighting for working people. As a founder of the Sunrise Movement, Michigan Rent Is Too Damn High Coalition, and Mid-Michigan Tenant Resource Center, he has a track record of policy wins, he leads with heart, stays real, and delivers results. He knows that when politicians say there’s no money for social security, childcare, or education, there’s always still money for war. He’s fighting to build a Michigan that’s affordable, a future residents can look forward to, and a country they can be proud of.

“I’m honored to earn the endorsement of A New Policy PAC. We need to get our priorities straight. Instead of sending weapons to foreign governments committing war crimes, we need to level the playing field for working families. It’s time we fund housing and healthcare at home, not endless wars abroad,” said William Lawrence.

Bridging the Gap Between Voters and their Washington

Our endorsement of William Lawrence represents another step toward aligning U.S. policy with the views of the American people. Polling consistently shows that most Americans support a balanced U.S. policy toward Palestine and Israel, oppose complicity in human catastrophe, and are growing increasingly skeptical of ongoing weapons transfers. Recently, Will had a forum with his opponents, and despite their various experiences in the military and national security, Will is clearly the best petitioned candidate to represent the community’s interests especially on Palestine. A New Policy PAC harnessing the collective power of these Americans from all backgrounds and turning that demand for change into real political influence.
